It was a most wonderful day at the zoo and bird park with Adi and his family.  It was touching when I saw all of them were wearing clothes that we brought them.  Ratni (mom) and Asmita (4 year old) were wearing the watches we brought for them.  Ratni had fairly good English but Asmita has not begun to learn English.  She knows Balinese and Indonesian already though.  The language barrier did not stop Asmita and I from becoming great friends.  I taught her jump which only took once to say jump and then I jumped with her.  We did some jumping throughout the day.  Asnita would call me by name.  Adi said she was calling me Grandma Donna and was that okay.  Of course it was!  She and I were together the whole day.  We would hold hands as we walked.  Sometimes she would unexpectedly come charging at me to catch her and pick her up as I hugged. her. We were sitting by ourselves watching the eagle show.  She was asking me questions and I was answering even though we didn't know what each other was saying.  Adi cam and sat by us as he saw Asmita was asking questions.  Adi is a most wonderful father who certainly is very involved with his children. I so enjoyed everyone.  Baby Kadek was unsure about who we were.so I just kept smiling at her.  Asmita was a bit shy at the beginning and wouldn't say thank you for the gifts we brought..  Before long she was saying thank you for many things.  Asmita told Adi that she wanted to come when he drove us to the airport.and he said yes..  I was surprised when Ratni and Kadek were in the vehicle as well.  Ratni and the girls were agin wearing clothes we had brought them.
