Art in the Mall Attached to Our Hotel

We discovered these in the mall attached to our hotel.  They are made of colored rice and are so incredibly intricate.  There is one round design about 12 feet in diameter.  The large one is about 40 feet long by about 10 feet across.  They are in a fenced off area in the middle of the mall.  So very impressive.

Petronas Towers

 The Petronas Towers are so very impressive!!!  Pictures do not do them justice.  They have a park area across the street so pictures can be taken.  Difficult to get a great picture of the towers from top to bottom in one picture.  We have always loved the shopping in the 5 levels below the towers.

Pangkor Island

.It was a long trip to get to Pangkor Island.  The driver picked us up at 7:15 and drove us to a people only ferry which took 3 1/2 hours.  The ferry ride to Pangkor was 20 minutes.  Once we got there we saw a Dutch settlement and then a Chinese temple.  Then off to the beach for a few hours  Then back to the ferry and then the long long drive home.     

Genting Highlands Malaysia

-4.8 degrees felt like -20 after being in hot temperatures

The driver picked us up and drove us to the Genting Highlands.  It was a 40 minute drive.  The first place we went to was the amusement park and a bit of shopping.  Then we went to Snowland for a laugh.  It felt so cold after being in temperatures in the mid 30's.  Then we took the cable car down to the Chinese Chin Shwee Caves Temple.  We went in the pagoda too and insisted in going up the spiral staircase up to the top so I could count the stairs (252).  Then we went to the outlet mall to shop.  We got a ride back to the hotel around 7 pm.  Then we went shopping in the mall attached to our hotel.
